Piper Vance: An American Violinist

Piper Vance, a Texas native and cat enthusiast, is a violinist in Rockwall who is ready to share her passion for music and performance. Piper has played in many orchestras such as the Mesquite Symphony, First Baptist Dallas Orchestra, Greenville Family Theatre and most recently as a new member of the Rockwall Philharmonic and Lima Symphony. She played with and for a former US president, Lee Greenwood, and Michael W. Smith, and multiple Broadways superstars at Carnegie Hall. She was also part of the 2022 movie production of The Girl on the Mountain directed by Matt Sconce.
Awards include the Mary Evans Scholarship, UT Arlington Music Scholarship, UTA String Area Award, CCCC Theory Award, and CCCC Music Literature Award. She has performed in Masterclasses for Dr. Simon Jones, Frank Huang, and Keith Robinson, as well received coachings from members of the Aizuri Quartet and Ariel Quartet.
Piper began playing at the age of 10 in the Rockwall ISD music program. She has earned an AA in Music from Collin County Community College and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BM in Violin Performance from the University of Texas at Arlington, where she was concertmaster and the 2021 Concerto Competition finalist. She is currently holds her MM at the University of Cincinnati - Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Dr. Won Bin Yim. Former teachers include Dr. Martha Walvoord, Dr. Alicja Usarek, Dr. Matson Topper, Lucas and Jina Lee Aleman.
